Harold Caudio, a visual artist with over 11 years of experience, uses his passion for art and social commentary to create pieces that challenge stereotypes, celebrate diversity, and spark dialogue. His work, which has gone viral on social media, has been featured in major exhibitions and publications such as Art Basel Miami, the LA Times, Good Morning America, and the Wearable Art Gala. He is currently expanding his candy-coated series, “The Colored Collextion,” to highlight more public figures who have had a symbolic impact on society and culture.
As a Haitian American and South Florida native, Harold specializes in mixed-media portraits and installations that explore the intersection of pop art, cultural fluidity, and the legacy of injustice. Using unconventional materials like Skittles candy, he creates realistic, layered images of iconic figures and social movements.
“The Colored Collextion,” an emotion-evoking series of portraits made entirely out of Skittles, includes influential figures such as Kobe Bryant, Malcolm X, Biggie Smalls, Tupac, Nipsey Hussle, Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, Bob Marley, and Mike Tyson. This collection has been featured at Art Basel Miami, Art Palm Beach, and the Wearable Art Gala, garnering millions of views, and extensive media coverage.
Inspired by the tragic murder of Trayvon Martin, Harold’s first Skittles art piece, “JUSTUS,” reflects his personal connection to social justice issues. His work continues to make a powerful statement, celebrating those who have made a lasting impact on culture and society.
In 2023, Harold collaborated with Ross Cammarata of Rcamm Art to paint a 2023 Rolls Royce Ghost for charity at Holman Motorcars, further extending his commitment to positive contributions in the world.
