Ross Cammarata

Fort Lauderdale, FL

Ross has been a professional financial advisor in Fort Lauderdale for over 30 years. As a first-generation Sicilian American, he discovered his artistic talent during the depths of the COVID pandemic. Utilizing this time to create beautiful and colorful palette knife paintings, Ross honed his craft and founded the Fort Lauderdale Art Gala. This exclusive black-tie event benefits organizations supporting underprivileged children and families. In its first three years, the Gala partnered with Kids in Distress, a 501(c)(3) organization in Fort Lauderdale, FL, raising over $250,000. In 2024, Ross felt the need to publicly display his work and help other local artists contribute to his mission, leading him to open Rcamm Art Gallery in Lauderdale by the Sea, FL. Ross’s paintings and commissioned pieces are displayed from Miami to New York and Italy, and he is currently open for commissions.

Ross centers his work on what he calls “necessary art.” He believes that every home should have colorful flowers that never die, which inspired his creation of “Floating Flowers.” His technique imbues the flowers with such texture and realism that they bring life to any space where they are displayed. When he ventures into abstract art, it’s a process of introspection, digging deep into his soul to express his current emotions and search for his next idea.
